Dietary Services
David Henry is the Supervisor directly responsible for the daily operations at the
Indiana School for the Deaf, (ISD). The Dietary Department would like to introduce
ourselves to you by telling you where we are located, and what we do here at ISD.
Willard Cafeteria is located toward the front of the ISD campus. It sits between
the Preschool and Elementary Departments. Willard Cafeteria serves students from both
the Preschool and Elementary Departments. ISD's Brown Cafeteria is located toward the
back of the campus behind the Vocational Building. This cafeteria serves both Middle
School and High School students. Both cafeterias serve the ISD faculty, staff, and many
campus visitors as well.
Monday through Friday we serve three meals a day-plus! This plus includes, but is not
limited to, providing food for morning and afternoon snacks, field trips, campouts, picnics,
food labs, athletic programs, etc. We are here for any ISD student function requiring our
nutritional services. Our philosophy is to provide a variety of high quality and nutritious
meals based upon dietary guidelines established by the National School Breakfast and Lunch
Programs. Our goal is to not only feed the stomachs of the students, but also to nourish
the brain! Through the food products that we serve, the cafeterias strive to teach good
eating habits that will hopefully last a lifetime. These services are provided by a team
of 24 employees.
