October 15: Heritage Christian

We played our last game of season with a loss to Heritage Christian

October 1: Christian Park Irish

We played Christian Park Irish for our 4th game of the season. They brought their bigger players for the second game with us as usual. Our 3 linemen were MIA (Missing In Action). We came up short and lost 18-14. I applaud our boys for staying up and keeping the game close.

September 24: Immaculate Heart of Mary

We lost a heart-breaking game to Immaculate Heart of Mary 20-14. We had a couple of fumble "Victory" balls. That game had a lot of "if". We have to learn to erase "if" and write "Execute" next time. First touchdown came from Trevor Howard on a 67 yards sweep right. Preston Kelly passed to Seth Hazelett for a 2-pts PAT. Preston also ran 7 yards for a touchdown.  Trevor finished with 16 carries for 128 yards. Cody Crace, Seth, and Preston each had 5 tackles and Preston intercepted a pass and returned for 61 yards.

September 17: Christian Park Irish

Hurry-Up-No-Huddle offense system has yet to take root in Lowe's Field, as we continue to lag the competition when it comes to putting points on the board. But there are glimmers of hope.   It was a beautiful day to throw and catch the ball last Wednesday as Preston Kelly threw for 9 out of 12 for 132 yards and 2 touchdown passes in a victory over Christian Park Irish 20-8. Cody Crace has caught 2 passes for total 59 yards and 2 touchdowns. Trevor Howard led the ground with 46 yards on three carries.   Seth Hazelett caught 3 passes for 20 yards and ran one for 12 yards. Giovanni Maucere led the defense with 9 tackles included a sack. Preston Kelly intercepted a Irish pass in opening drive to start up the fire for Deaf Hoosiers. Our defense has improved a lot as we tackled 39 times, up from 24 from first game.

September 10: Heritage Christian

Last week, we played Heritage Christian and lost by the score of 36-6. We have a long way to go and a lot to improve for next game. We talked hard to our players about how important to have hard practices and patient. These players are the ones out there blocking and tackling. We might look good in a uniform, but there's a whole more to that 40 minutes that they have to execute. Our lone touchdown came from 10 yards ran in middle then twist to right by Trevor Howard.   Trevor Howard finished the game with 8 carries for 70 yards, a touchdown along with 4 tackles and forced fumble on defensive side.  Cody Crace came up with 4 tackles included a sack and recovered fumble. Preston Kelly completed 6 passes out of 15 for 50 yards and also had 4 tackles. Giovanni Maucere had 2 catches for 37 yards.
